Omaha Hi/Lo Hands That Should Be Let Go

by Michael Monroe

With such a high variety of different Omaha Hi/Lo hands it can be extremely complicated to figure out which hands to play and which ones to let go. There are a lot more hands that should be let go then hands that should be held.

Regardless of whether you are playing Omaha Hi/Lo or Texas Holdem, if you are truly playing your cards right then you should only be in for the flop about 20% of the time. A lot of players make the error of trying to play nearly every hand, thinking that they are going to hit the proper cards on the flop. These players usually spend most of their time losing.

Many hands you will get will be obviously bad hands, these are the easy ones to let go. Most people have the sense to put down a hand that gives them a very slim chance at winning. Those who dont fold these hands will find out quickly that they are using a bad strategy. Either that or they will wonder why they keep losing.
