Anger Management In Online Poker

by Thomas Kearns

One thing the on line poker player doesn’t have to worry about is what effect his show of emotion is having on his game. There is no one to react to your outbursts or your inability to maintain a “poker face”. You neither have to hide or fear expressing how you feel about the progress of the game. Indeed you can express the full range of emotion, and even pound on or break those items that may be close at hand in your moment of anger. And presuming you are playing at home you can do it with immunity.

The only thing you want to leave alone is the computer. People and pets sharing the apartment with you will have probably learned by now that they better stay away from the serious poker player. Anyone who hasn’t learned yet is fair game.

A Bit of Strategic Poker Jargon

by Thomas Kearns

We will begin by exploring the variety of poker game types. These can be broken into two major groups, that of tournament poker and non-tournament poker, or to put it another way, cash poker and ring poker. Tournaments can be in the form of multitable (MTT) or single table (STT). The single table tournaments are most often played as sit and go games (SNG) meaning that the game won’t start until the table is full.

There are satellite game tournaments where players have access to the higher status and higher fee games, or the freerolls, where there is no fee to enter into play, then there are the guaranteed games where a prize pool is guaranteed by the game’s originators. A buy-in fee is mandatory in all but the freeroll tournaments. Sometimes, the house will allow players to purchase more chips using the re-buy or add-on options.

If you really love the thrill of the game, if you really like watching the dice roll and the roulette wheel spin, but… You don’t always have the money and the time to head to Atlantic City or Nevada, an online casino slot machine can be the next best thing. Of course, you’ll want to keep a few tips in mind in order to really make the most of the experience…

Play Responsibly

The last thing you want to do while gambling is to just keep spending and spending. Rather, what you want to do is set yourself a budget. Look into your account and look at how much you can safely spend. Allocate that money towards playing the slots, and do not spend a dollar more. Next time you have some spare cash, you can play again, but do not spend more than your budget per visit to the slots. It’s online, but it’s real gambling, and it’s something you have to play as a game, not as an investment. There’s no guarantee of making any money back when you play the slots, so don’t expect anything but a good time.

The ever increasing growth of the internet is allowing for more and more internet based businesses to thrive in the online environment, and online casinos are no exception. In recent years the number of online casinos has grown significantly. This huge growth has made the online casino business very competitive; because of this fierce competition internet based casinos have to do more to attract customers. In a bid to achieve this new players are often offered an online casino sign up bonus.

The sign up bonus is offered to new members at the point of joining the site. This bonus is generally an amount of free cash given to new players to use on the various games within the online casino. So you are able to play the games on the site with their money before you actually use your own cash.

A Potted History Of Bingo

by Jon Jackson

Similar to many other games and pastimes, it’s not entirely certain what the origins of bingo actually are. Of course, we can trace back the extremely popular current game of online bingo back to the birth of the internet, and then subsequently its rise in popularity since about 1995 onwards.

It’s quite difficult to work out where the physical game actually came from, though, so this is a possible history of bingo that is non-controversial and is generally accepted as being true. We start in Italy in the 16th century, with a game called “Lo Giuoco del Lotto d’Italia”, which was a type of lottery.

This Italian game became popular in other countries, too, and it was the French who developed the bingo game cards we’re familiar with in the game played today. The Germans actually took this development a bit further, as they used the game as a means of teaching people about numbers.

by Sabrina Summerfield

When almost all other forms of gambling were outlawed in many states, one game of chance was legally allowed to continue. People were still allowed to gather in church and town halls and play bingo for money. The reason for this was because bingo is not a game of chance that can become addictive and destructive. It is a game that engages the players, is enjoyable and has been proven to have a number of benefits.

Of course, it doesn’t hurt that you can win money playing bingo. In fact, in online bingo parlors, big money can be made and even bigger prizes won. It’s all part of the fun!
