Better Times For The Buffalo Bills

by Marc Freedman

New days are upon the Buffalo Bills franchise, that’s what the fans of the Bills want to believe. After a crushing defeat by the New England Patriots in week 1 in the last seconds, the Bills bounced back and won in week 2 against the Tamp bay Buccaneers 33-20. In bottom line league, a win is a win and Bills fans will take any win they can.

Trent Edwards is still a quarterback looking to “find himself” and prove he is one of the top quarterbacks in the league.

Trent Edwards looked polished and composed as the team’s quarterback, and seems to be more of a legitimate, reliable option with each passing week. Having thrown for 230 yards with 21 completions in 31 attempts, his 2 TD passes on just one interception were enough to win the Bills the football game.

The Bills play in one of the toughest divisions in football, the AFC East. The New York Jets are off to a fast start and the New England Patriots have Tom Brady.

We all know what Terrell Owens is capable of, on and off the field. If things don’t turn out right in Buffalo, it’s just a matter of time before some issues arise.

The running game remains solid and their defense should continue to improve as the season moves forward.

All of this has occurred while Marshawn Lynch is serving a suspension, though you’d never know it as Fred Jackson has simply been phenomenal. Once Lynch returns, this will be a dangerous duo.

Things are looking up in Buffalo. With the Patriots having nearly lost to the Bills in week 1 and losing to the Jets in week 2, this is really starting to look like anyone’s division to win.
