People are aware that the economy is in recession over the past years and still struggling today. Many people fight for the legalization of gambling including government officials. A ton of casino groups are advising the law makers to create internet poker sites in order for them to allocate revenues to states like California which has been struggling financially.
The debate is still ongoing regarding the legalization of online gambling in America. Supporters of the legalization bill advice lawmakers to consider the assistance that online gaming can do to debt filled states like California. If the establishment of online poker sites will be approved it can give at most $250 million dollars per year to the state not including the profits it can generate.
This year the state of California has deficit of millions of dollars. The casino groups have been suggesting this proposal to help the state out of this mess. Establishment of online poker sites will certainly help in paying the debt of the state. Hopefully when the proposal will be passed to lawmakers this coming month - it will be approved. Some casino groups have already expressed interest on the project.
Online gambling is a fast growing business that grosses more than $300 billion per year. A big percentage of the industry’s market came from the United States wherein players play gambling online as a form of entertainment. Most of them use credit cards and other online means in order to play poker and challenge other players online.
It is still legal for American citizens to play online gambling. However, there are a lot of boundaries and limitations concerning the adding of funds into online accounts. This limitation creates difficulties with regards to payments to online gambling sites. Websites for online gambling can still be seen in the US but they are not based on the country but outside of it in order to avoid the limitation mandated by the law. Figures demonstrate that over a million California residents play online poker and the revenue only goes outside the state because the US can’t provide safe haven for online gambling companies in the country. But if lawmakers decided to legalize online gambling in the country, the state of California will surely benefit in the process.
It seems like that the legalization of online gambling is going into the right path and hopefully legislator will see the opportunity to change the financial problems that’s hounding California.
