The game of Hold’em changes once you get to heads-up play. You can make a few big mistakes in limit Hold’em and, it sometimes works in your favor if you appear to be a loose player, but a series of small mistakes can end the game early. Constant small misreads of your opponent are far more likely to end your tournament than an incorrect size bet.
When playing heads-up, the most important factor is to understand your opponent’s style. Since you have been playing against them for at least the time together on the final table, you should have a good read on their ability, image and level of play. If they are more skillful than you are, you can negate their advantage by forcing big pots to end the game as quickly as possible. If you are the superior player, take your time by playing smaller pots. Your skill level should win out in the end.

Poker is one of the most popular games in various countries across the world. There are many deviations of the game that you can indulge in as a pass time. You can learn how to play by finding sites on the Internet that provide it or just join in a game that your friends are playing and learn by experience.
The game of poker is usually played with 52 cards with a suit of four but other deviations of the game play using the Joker as well. The joker is used in any selected suit. The four suits are Hearts, Clubs, Spades and Diamonds. In some poker games, the four are ranked equally in value but in other games, some of the suits are superior to others. General poker rules dictate that the Ace has the highest value followed by the King, Queen and Jack respectively. Other times though, the Ace has the lowest value of the entire deck.

A recent survey taken at colleges across the country has revealed something very interesting. It appears that ultimate frisbie is no longer the pastime of choice on campus. It’s poker, and a more interesting fact is, that it is primarily college girls who are playing it. That’s right, college girls.
Not so long ago, poker was generally thought of a male pastime. The iconic images of cigar smoking, scotch drinking, loud mouth males huddled around the green felt table on poker night tend to come to mind when we think of poker. But it appears now that pow wows of giggling college girls , wearing baby ts and getting buzzed on wine coolers , are holding all the cards. Well, maybe thats the image that would pop into a guys mind, but actually these college girls are quite savvy to the game and mean business.

Is there any thrill in the world of card games to compare with going all-in at exactly the right time in a poker game? It’s your cards against your opponents. If you win, you’ll instantly double up. But if you lose, well then you’ll try again another day.
This is part of what makes poker so exciting to be involved in. Your adrenaline starts to pump and you get really excited. When you actually pull off the win, nothing feels better than raking in a big pile of chipsexcept maybe cashing those chips in for a fat stack of cash.
